Thursday at the Blues Festival in Portland
The past two July 4ths we have been in Sitka, Alaska for baptisms and before that we have been at the coast. This time I decided we’d to go to the Blues Festival. It started Thursday July 2, so we headed out to the bank of the Willamette River near the Hawthorne Bridge. We had a busy long weekend and recommend it for those who like music. If I knew how to delete some of my repeat pictures, I would. Putting them in this column style is confusing to me. Just appreciate what you can. I was able to get up close to everyone, if I wished, except Keb’ Mo’. Security kept me away.
- There was a good variety of food to choose from all around the festival. We ate near the A&E stage.
- I liked the dress on the Hillstomp lead vocal.
- Soul Vaccination was one of my favorite groups. They also played Friday night at Jimmy Mak’s.
- Jonnie Ward’s Sharkskin Revue.
- Keb’ Mo’
