Happy Hour at 50 Plates
Friend, Judy Werner, asked to meet up with us at 50 Plates at 5:15 for Happy Hour. I got there at 5 pm because the Street of Dreams has some condos right next door and the place has been swarming with people. I snagged a table inside.
I ordered a gin gimlet while I people watched and waited for Judy to arrive. It was a hot day so I decided we needed to be seated inside.
Judy is gaga about the place. It is a cool happy hour spot.
Castroville artichoke rolls - goat cheese, roasted garlic and artichoke filling; avocado ranch sauce. Judy insisted we each get these. I have to say they were okay but I wasn't as stoked as she was. She even got another order.
Carolina pulled pork on a sweet potato roll with slaw, BBQ sauce was mighty fine.
Robert showed up, but before he did I got his order in of what we had ordered plus some mussels. They don't photo well.
He won a BIG case today, so was in a great mood. We all congratulated him.
Andouille corn dog lollipops with sweet mustard for me for "last call".
Once we had a slice of their chocolate cake, but not this time. It was the best I had ever had.
Coconut was another choice.
YUMMMM!!! I want to go to 50 plates for happy hour!!!!
