Post-op Visit

Friend, Linda Stern, drove me to (and from) my Kaiser Permanente post-op appointment. She dropped me off at the main door and I went in using my crutches and fortunately there was no line to check in. I noticed a volunteer and agreed that he could push me to the Podiatry Unit for my check-up.  It would have been quite a schlep for me without the help.

Dr. Granville's nurse cut all these bandages off so the doctor could see my stitches.

My bruised toe is normal.

My bruised toe is normal along with some bruising on the bottom of my foot, of course.

As I waited for the doctor to show up, I looked at the bottom of my foot for the first time since the surgery.

For those two of you who wanted a close-up.

Dr. Granville said things looked good and in one week I can even get my foot wet. He wrapped my foot and gave me a choice of colors: yellow, tan, blue or a faded red.

I like the look.

I like the look. It even matched some of the tiny polka dot on my pants.

Doesn't this just make you want one?

Doesn't this just make you want a pink foot, too?
