Big Top with No Top?
Lee Ann and I had two free kid’s tickets for a circus, one day only, at the county fair grounds. I read Richard Scarry’s pages about the circus from the Best Word Book Ever to the grand kids, so they would be ready.
Turned out it wasn’t the big time. But still, it was a good introduction. It worried Max quite a bit. Madison understood the clown’s humor and laughed out loud readily. Max stressed about the tight rope walkers, etc., and left early with Lee Ann.
Fortunately, we brought snacks, and sandwiches so we didn't have to buy overpriced food during the wait for the start and the many intermissions

This was tricky.
Mmmmm. They both liked the cotton candy.
Pink and blue cotton candy!! It went fast.
Ooooh. Sticks to the fingers. (We had hand wipes.)
Entire families performed. Here a boy balances and later juggles.
The motorcycles in the sphere were anticlimactic.
