Ken Wright Cellars for the Holt International

Last weekend, we attended a wine tasting and musical event as a part of an auction item Robert purchased at a Holt International Adoption Agency fundraiser. We were part of many who bought into it. The winery was in Carlton, Oregon. The Ken Wright Cellars winery was impressive. They go way beyond organic farming. Nutrition farming, paying attention to parent material has made their vineyard healthier than the neighboring ones during times when they are fighting disease and other plant nightmares.

The wine was excellent as was the food catered by Food in Bloom and chocolates provided by Bernard Callebaut of Lake Oswego. Entertainment with Michael Harrison, his step-son on violin and Patrick Lamb on saxophone.

Too bad we couldn't put one of these barrals into our car.

Ken Wright gave us a talk about his vision, philosophy, work ethic, approach, etc. We were impressed.

Sounds (and looks) like a fun event–and yummy, too.
