The avocado mouse appetizer I brought was a hit at our newly joined gourmet couples group. I got the recipe from a Salem friend, Anne. It was a lovely evening with wonderful food and good fellowship. Next gathering will be in October.

My Breakfast in Bridgetown group went to the Waffle Window, which works out of a small corner of Bread and Ink on Hawthorne. The Waffle Window is run by the restaurant’s kids, so you don’t have to eat outside if the weather isn’t warm. There is a small area by the window inside.
