A Curious Case

This afternoon, I went to the movie, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and thoroughly enjoyed the film, however, the people near me bugged me a great deal.  A couple behind me talked to each other quite a bit and often. A few seats to my right was a woman grasping on to a plastic sack and every 15 minutes, or so, she would rustle the sack for 20 seconds.  I would make mild shushing noise at them, but was too subtle. Maybe the woman has some kind of nervous or physical problem. Who knows? Yet, I often wished I was home watching it on my own tv. My friend, Linda, said she just tuned it all out… Do other people run into this? Trying to be tolerant in the new year isn’t so easy.

Next time take a small squirt gun. They never know where it comes from, but it gets the point across better than a “shush.”

    Hey Julie,
Thanks for the movie reviews. I love to go but Mike has sworn off of them because of the loud, rude people and crying babies! I do think that the early show times have much less noise though. I forgot you have a MAC, do you have the new iLife ’09?
